Empowering Through Mindful Healing
Alyssa Boinais, LMSW
Hi, I’m Alyssa! I’m a Licensed Masters Social Worker and the founder of Be Mindful Therapy. I’ve spent years helping people work through things like anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, but where I really thrive is supporting women who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just trying to figure out the next chapter of their lives.
I especially love working with new moms as they adjust to the rollercoaster of parenthood, and with young adults or college students navigating the (sometimes messy) shift into adult life. My approach is compassionate and down-to-earth—I’ll meet you where you’re at and give you space to be yourself.
In sessions, I pull from tools like CBT, DBT, ERP, mindfulness, somatic techniques, and trauma-informed care, but I always tailor things to what actually feels helpful for you. My goal is to help you feel supported while you learn to set healthy boundaries, manage emotions, cope with stress, and build confidence in yourself.
At the end of the day, therapy with me is about giving you a safe space to grow, heal, and feel more grounded in your everyday life.

Alyssa believes the therapeutic relationship is what creates the ideal space for healing. She will prioritize building rapport with you before pushing you to confront any of the "hard" stuff.

Alyssa really values family. On an ideal weekend, you can catch her up north camping with the whole family. She is the oldest of 5 siblings and a mother to 2 young kids.
-
Alyssa spends the summers camping, gardening, paddle boarding and playing outside as much as possible. She spends the winters skiing, snowboarding, or just cozied up on the couch watching Disney movies. Some fun facts of her hobbies include she has over 100 houseplants and 2 big lovable huskies!

I truly value the relationships in my life. I love expressing myself creatively through art, fashion, and theater. Giving back to others and the community is important to me, and I also make it a point to take some time for myself when I need to recharge, reflect, and grow.

I love spending my free time at home with my kids. We have a full house of pets that I adore, including cats, a dog, and two ducks. I'm involved in community theater, participating in both youth and adult programs. I also enjoy traveling to new places and exploring.
